The Venue

So why France?
We loved the idea of somewhere warm, relaxed and picturesque for our big day. Unfortunately the local working man's club was booked so we plumped for South West France. France is close to our hearts, with Elizabeth a quarter French and Ben reeking of garlic. In all seriousness, we both have very fond memories and have spent many a happy time there. We appreciate it's a huge ask to haul you all across the channel and are so grateful that so many of you can be there to share our special day.

We have chosen the beautiful Logis Du Paradis for our wedding celebrations. Le Logis du Paradis is a lovely old complex of buildings dating from 1712, including its former Cognac distillery, built around a large, enclosed, classic Charentais courtyard. It is set in the charming, sleepy hamlet of La Magdeleine on the banks of the small river Nī in the midst of the vines of the Grand Cru Grande Champagne Cognac region; famous for the very best Cognacs and Pineaux
